As a growing suburb, Transcona also represents excellent opportunities for investors looking to expand their portfolios.

East Transcona

Why consider moving to East Transcona? It’s hard to ask for a better place to call home if you love the idea of being close to parks and nature while surrounded by a supportive community spirit. As an established neighbourhood, your family will benefit from a superb education system under the helm of the River East Transcona School Division. Ecole Regent Park, Joseph Teres School, and Transcona Collegiate are a few options that may be in your catchment area.

Shopping enthusiasts will be thrilled to find many of Winnipeg’s biggest and best shopping centres right in the neighbourhood, including Crossroads Station, Regent Corner, Kildonan Crossing, and Eastgate Shopping Centre.

Unlike many neighbourhoods in other cities, these amenities do not come at a high price, nor do you have to sacrifice your love of nature. West Transcona

A few blocks away, you’ll find East Transona’s sister neighbourhood of West Transcona, which also offers access to a wide array of conveniences and amenities. Like other Transcona communities, West Transcona is safe and scenic, with nearby parks where you can relax and the children can laugh and play. Magas Memorial, Rotary Centenary, Victoria Jason, and Kern Parks are just a few fabulous nature escapes that your whole family will love.

West Transcona also falls under the jurisdiction of the River East Transcona School Division. John W. Gunn Middle School, Westview School, and Kildonan Collegiate serve the neighbourhood children, along with Ecole Regent Park, which offers French Immersion for students from Grade 4 to Grade 8.

On hot days, why not cool off at Transcona Stadium? This epic water park features waterslides, multiple diving boards, and a splash pad, making it the perfect spot for chills and thrills for all ages! You will also find several of your favourite shopping hotspots close to home, including Kildonan Place and Southdale Shopping Centre.

Crocus Meadows

Shimmering lakes, breathtaking landscaping, and a stunning network of pathways; who could ask for anything more? However, more is precisely what you get in Crocus Meadows, one of Transcona’s newest communities.

Though close to all of the amenities you’d expect in a world-class city like Winnipeg, you’ll also be surrounded by the beauty of nature. High-quality schools, excellent shopping opportunities, and a thriving nightlife are all at your fingertips.

And yet, nestled in the privacy of your backyard, you can forget the cares of the world – at least for a moment. With many brand-new developments available and still in the works, Crocus Meadows offers exciting opportunities for first-time buyers, downsizers, and families looking to upgrade their homes.

Devonshire Village

It is amazing how fast the future keeps turning into the present, and nowhere is that more obvious than in the new community of Devonshire Village. Here, modern urban living takes on a whole new meaning where city convenience combines with the wonder of nature, resulting in a lifestyle that is both elevated and sustainable.

Modern amenities feature a low-impact storm water management system and access to public transit. Plus, a community park with a playground and an off-leash dog park for both large and small breeds make Devonshire Village a welcoming place to all!

Mission Gardens

Located approximately 30 minutes from the bustle of downtown Winnipeg, you’ll find the small but mighty residential neighbourhood of Mission Gardens. Though it was once part of the old City of Transcona before it was amalgamated into Winnipeg, residents of the community now enjoy a modern and leisurely lifestyle.

Outdoor recreational opportunities abound, with attractions like the Transcona Golf Club, South Transcona Community Centre, and Bernie Wolfe Park, which also features an indoor swimming pool. A selection of relatively affordable detached homes makes Mission Gardens an attractive destination for families and first-time buyers alike.
