On Saturday, October 7th, 2017 Bob & Deb Goodfellow were in attendance, among many, of the naming of the Reykdal Family Park.
Vic Reykdal was a Transcona resident who lived in Transcona and owned a construction company. Many years ago he moved to Calgary and advanced his construction career. He never forgot Transcona — his home.
He came back and became an integral part of Transcona’s Downtown Revitalization, starting with the construction of the first condo project in downtown Transcona; Sky View Terrace. Councillor Russ Wyatt spear-headed the charge in partnership with Transcona Biz, Vic Reykdal and other prominent figures.
Goodfellow & Goodfellow & Lind Real Estate Ltd. was brought in as the marketing Realtors due to their longstanding commitment to the community and their high profile standing.
After the successful completion of Sky View Terrace, Mr. Reykdal went on to give back to our community in a big way.Ā The Park dedication is well-deserving and will continue to pay homage to his legacy of serving the great people of Transcona.
